Conference Programme

Structure

The main programme for the WWP 2011 will consist of a single-track set of short lectures up to 30 minutes long.

There will be at least one keynote lecture each day, and two evening debates, one on each of the first two evenings of the conference.

There will be workshops, poster tracks, booksignings and meet the expert sessions which may be parallel.

Content

The Winter Workshop Organising Committee is currently accepting proposals for:

  • Plenary/keynote talks (30 minute slot in the programme, - 1 chair, 1 speaker)
  • Symposia (up to a 2 hour slot in the programme - 1-2 chairs, up to 6 speakers)
  • Workshop (1 hour, parallel workshop with at least 2 moderators)
  • Debates (1 hour, 2 speakers, 1 moderator)
  • Poster Abstracts (up to 15 authors on the abstract, no more than 500 words abstracts)
  • Booksignings (1-2 authors attending, books cannot be supplied by conference organisers)

Topics

The committee is considering any proposals addressing current issues relating to Psychoses, mainly in Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorders but also arising from other causes such as Epilepsy, Dementia, Parkinsons Disease, Drug Induced & Stroke.

These include but are not limited to:

  • Genetics
  • Early Onset/Childhood & Adolescence
  • Psychoses in Old Age
  • First Episode
  • Aetiology (including Drug Induced)
  • Epidemiology
  • Diagnosis & Classification
  • Underlying Pathology/Neuroanatomy & Neurotransmitter theory
  • Co-morbidities
  • Sequelae
  • Cognition and Memory
