Travelling to Marrakech by Train
Travelling by train is one of the best forms of transport between the large Moroccan cities. Marrakech has a frequent direct train connection to Casablanca (about every two hours during the day) and a few direct trains to other cities such as Fez, Tangier, or Rabat. Marrakech railway station is situated within walking distance from the medina and the most popular tourist places such as Djemaa El Fna (the famous main square)
Supratours buses at Marrakech Train Station
Smaller cities in Morocco, especially to the south of Marrakech, don't have a railway connection. These destinations are served by Supratours buses, which are also operated by the state railway company, ONCF. Supratours (ONCF) buses also arrive and depart from the train station in Marrakech (unlike buses operated by other companies, which go to the Bab Doukkala Bus Station).
EU citizens, including UK passportholders, do not need a visa to visit Morocco. Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from date of entry. Please check with your local embassy for your local needs.

There are many travellers that flock to Marrakech because of its beauty and easy-going atmosphere.
It is a city that was immortalized by Winston Churchill in his well-publicized War Memoirs.
He wrote: "Here, surrounded by its extensive palm-groves that have sprung out of the desert, the traveller may rest assured that he will never tire of the majestic view of the snow-covered Atlas Mountains. The sun is dazzling and warm, but never unbearably so; the air is sharp and refreshing, yet never unpleasantly cold; the days are perfect, the nights are cool."
Language
Arabic is the language used in Morocco, but French is also widely spoken.
The language of the conference is English.
Currency
The official currency of Morocco is the Dirham. £1=14 Dirhams approx.
Reputable hotels and shops and some restaurants will accept major credit cards. Visa and master cards can also be used at ATM's in main cities.
Moroccan Dirhams may not be imported or exported due to exchange control. Currency can easily be exchanged at the airport Bureau de Change, banks or hotels. The majority of hotels use the same exchange rates as the banks and do not charge commission. Exchange receipts should be kept as they will be required to convert Dirhams back to your original currency upon departure from Morocco.
Climate
